Taransaud only uses oak from French forests. This is a sign of quality and consistency, and for us, it also represents transparency. This explains why we can provide clients with full traceability, from forest to finished product. Our production is audited by Bureau Véritas regarding the French origin of our wood and minimum open-air seasoning periods. We are willing to provide additional guarantees relying on the most innovative scientific technologies.
Therefore, our T5 barrels, composed of 100% oak from the Tronçais forest, are covered by a genetic compliance test. This test was developed by the INRA based on the DNA analysis of wood. The genetic compliance testing of wood has been systematic since 2015 for all T5 barrels.
