During ageing in French oak barrels, wines and brandies acquire the finishing touches to their character and reveal their full complexity. This is what we call a "perfect exchange". In order to achieve it, we use extremely rigorous methods at every stage of the crafting of our barrels and tanks.

TARANSAUD decided to call on the services of Bureau VERITAS to give our customers a guarantee on our commitments, especially in two main areas which have a great impact on the final quality of wines and spirits aging in barrels :
TARANSAUD decided to call on the services of Bureau VERITAS to inspect its wood-purchasing procedures so that customers can be given a guarantee that its oak is of 100% French origin. Our stave suppliers have also been audited by Bureau VERITAS.

For over twelve years, our cooperage has been committed to a similar approach that guarantees its customers that all its staves have been seasoned in the open air for two to three years, depending on the thickness of the wood.

After several months of rigorous inspection and monitoring, Bureau VERITAS attested to the fact that we were keeping to our commitments. It now carries out an annual check, using a schedule that it sets itself.
